Veterinary Technician 

Emelia started her veterinary nursing career in Toowoomba during 2019 where she made her start in small but busy small animal GP clinic.

 

During her time spent as a vet nurse she has also studied to become a Veterinary Technician at the University of Queensland and is set to finish this degree in July of 2022.

 

 

Since moving to Brisbane she has joined the Newstead Vets team enabling her to practice her passion of anaesthesia and be actively involved in patient care.

 

When she is not at work, she can be found hiking through the mountain trails of South East Queensland or spending quality time with her partner and cat.

Meet Tori -

 

After completing a Certificate IV; Tori started her career as a Veterinary Nurse in 2019 in a fast-paced Melbourne based GP.

 

After the rocky times Melbourne brought during the peak period of COVID-19 Tori relocated back to Queensland where she looked at expanding her knowledge and experience and moved towards emergency and critical care work for the last 12 months.

 

She has a passion for helping those who can not help themselves and dapples in rescue work wherever she can as well as providing a safe loving home for her 2 rescue cats and her 2 yr old rescue pup.

 


Thiago Giraldi

Dr Thiago graduated in 2005 from University of Sao Paulo State. He migrated to Australia in 2009 and worked as a veterinary nurse while he was preparing to take the Veterinary Board exams to be able to practice veterinary medicine in Australia. 

 

Since his first job in a small animal clinic in Port Stephens NSW, Dr Thiago has been working in several different clinics and Hospitals in both metro and regional Australia, gaining experience in both GP and emergency veterinary work. 

 

In 2017, Dr Thiago moved from Sydney to Brisbane to take on a position as Veterinary Director at Greencross in Cannon Hill. After nearly 3 years he decided to leave the job and start his own clinic, Newstead Vets.

 

Dr Thiago is particularly interested in surgery, dentals and pain management.

 

In his spare time he likes to spend time with his wife and daughter and when the weather allows he will jump out of an airplane for fun.
